The President of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has sacked his popular media aide, Lauretta Onochie.
Although the president sacked some members of his cabinet, the likes of Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu were retained as Special Adviser on Media and Publicity and Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, respectively.
Laolu Akande, was also reappointed as Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Office of the Vice President.
According reports from Igbere TV, the reappointment was contained in a letter dated August 14 signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
Also appointed are Tolu Ogunlesi, Special Assistant (Digital Media) and Mallam Buhari Salihu, Special Assistant, Online Media.
Furthermore, President Buhari, appointed Senator Ita Enang, as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Senator Babajide Omoworare as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate).
The President reappointed Mallam Umar El-Yakub as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
