Soldiers and policemen have reportedly engaged in a bloody battle at Bomadi town in Bomadi local government area of Delta state.

The security men were on patrol to enforce compliance of the lockdown imposed on the state by the governor.

The Sun reports that the argument between both parties was over violation of lockdown rules.

According to the newspaper, the argument consequently became heated up before turning violent. As a result of this, a soldier was shot at a close range.

This is said to be in retaliation to the shooting of a policeman who was hit in the stomach by the bullet from the soldier’s rifle.
