David ‘Davido’ Adeleke has just demonstrated his star power by becoming the most followed African musician on the photo-sharing app, Instagram.
The singer recently hit 20 million followers on Instagram which has ultimately shown the gulf of influence he has over other African artistes on social media.
In a related development, Davido was slammed for the umpteenth time a couple of days ago after allegedly threw dust into the public eye when he announced years ago that he was dropping a collabo with Wizkid but never did.
The old tweet which was dug up from the archives for shenanigans reasons, saw the honcho of the 30 Billion Gang congratulating the Grammy award-winner, Wizkid after winning Best Male artiste at the MTV MAMA Awards twice in a row.
Davido had also hinted in the post dated 18 July 2015, that he and Starboy had a song coming out in a month’s time. ”BEST MALE 2 years in a row!! DAVIDO X WIZKID DROPS NEXT MONTH!! @wizkidayo”, he tweeted.
However, fans believe he lied big time because he never dropped the song as he promised or had no joint song with Wizzy in the first place.
Talking about Wizzy, the Afrobeat superstar has disclosed that he would have loved to collaborate with late Afrobeat legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and Reggae icon, Bob Marley. Wizkid made this known in a chat with sports brands, Puma & JD, while answering questions about his life, and music.
Wizkid also talked about his personality and his family, while touching on how fun it was growing up with 12 sisters, and getting style inspiration from the street.
