Edward Mordrake biography
In the 1800s, Edward was born into a noble family in England. He was the heir to one of the noblest families in the country at the time.
Mordrake had all he needed because he came from a wealthy family. He was a scholar as well as a gifted musician. Furthermore, he was rather attractive – until one noticed a second face on the back of his head.
As the man with two faces
Edward’s enigmatic second face, located at the back of his head, was smaller. It was, however, malevolent, and it kept saying things to Mordrake. It had its own intelligence, and it would stare at the audience and gibber incessantly and quietly.
This second visage was horrifying, as it would sneer and smile when Mordrake sobbed at his predicament. Anyone in the vicinity would not hear it talk, but it would continue to whisper to him, causing him to be unable to sleep.
For Edward, this circumstance was distressing, and it kept him separated from others, including his own family. He tried unsuccessfully to have the demon visage removed from his skull by doctors.
The situation became so difficult for the two top leaders that one of them committed suicide. At the time, he was only twenty-three years old. He wrote a note requesting that the demonic head be destroyed before he was buried, since it would otherwise continue to haunt him long after he died.
Are there two headed men in reality?
Diverse communities have had different reactions to the story of the two-faced man. Some believe it is true, while others believe it is a complete fabrication. Others feel it was most likely a true event that was distorted by years of recounting.
In the book Anomalies and Curiosities of Medicine, a version of the incident is mentioned. It differs from the well-known Siamese twins notion, in which identical twins are born not completely separated from one another.
Some speculate that if the guy with two faces did exist, he may have suffered from diprosopus, a rare and severe illness in which some portions of the face are duplicated on the skull. This ailment is real, albeit all who were born with it died young.
The story has appeared in a variety of books, memes, plays, music, and even the AHS television series.
