FG, Lagos explain 6-month closure of its Third Mainland Bridge

The Federal and Lagos State Governments have declared the executive prepare of the conclusion of the Third Mainland Bridge. Support on the extension would be completed from July 24, 2020 to January 24, 2021.

On Tuesday, Federal Controller of Works in Lagos, Olukayode Popoola, at a media preparation said the extension was last restored in 2012. The authority clarified that the fixes would be done in two stages. The Oworonshoki bound carriageway is the first to be closed for a quarter of a year.

In this period, drivers would utilize the Island bound path and elective courses gave.”From 12am to 1pm, the highway would take the Oworonshoki to Lagos Island traffic only on the Lagos Island bound carriageway.From 1pm to 11pm, the highway would take the Lagos Island to Oworonshoki traffic only on the Lagos Island bound carriageway.The same process will be replicated on the Lagos Island bound carriageway upon completion of repairs of the Oworonshoki lane”.
