Nigeria’s immediate past chief of defence staff, Abayomi Olonisakin (rtd), has revealed that the country’s next warfare and crisis will be in the forests.
Olonisakin made the disclosure on Thursday, February 18, during his screening for an ambassadorial position at the National Assembly, Channels TV reports.

The retired military general who resigned as the chief of defence staff was nominated as a non-career Ambassador-Designate by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He explained that three years ago the research he conducted showed that forest reserves have become hideouts for criminals.
The former service chief while noting that there are over one thousand forest reserves in Nigeria, said there is an urgent need to man and protect them.
