Who did Sean Penn play in Friends?
If you’re a fan of Friends, you’ll know the sitcom had a huge range of cameo guest stars – some are now massive A-listers!
So, it’s no surprise that actor, director, and ex-husband of Madonna, Sean Penn, had a featured role on the iconic show.
Can’t remember who Penn played? Let’s jog your memory…
That’s right – Penn played Phoebe’s twin sister’s new beau during the Halloween party episode.
However, Penn’s cameo on the show was short-lived and, in actual fact, the sitcom directors weren’t massive fans of the actor’s featuring role. Director, Kevin S. Bright told Metro: “I think the least successful one was Sean Penn on the show. Just the style of the production wasn’t what he was used to, doing a show like that, so there was a little deer in the headlight effect.”
Sadly, it seems Sean Penn won’t be making a reprisal comeback for the HBO reunion episode.
