Former Manchester United strike, Jude Odion Ighalo has sparked a debate on social media with his latest photo.
In his latest photo, the renowned striker was captured in a full-Muslim regalia prompting social media users to ask whether he has converted to Islam.
He shared the photo on his verified social media handle on the popular social media platform, Instagram.
As a caption, he wrote;
The photo was shared as Muslim all over the world begin the Ramadan fast.
The Holy month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and it is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community.
After the last day of Ramadan, Muslims celebrate its ending with Eid al-Fitr—the “festival of breaking the fast”—which begins with communal prayers at daybreak.
Weeks ago, Ighalo was captured jamming to singer, Davido’s ‘Fall’ together with his teammates at his new club in Saudi Arabia.
The video was made after Al-Shabab secured three points after winning their game against Damac on Monday and celebrating their victory.
The attacker led his teammates to sing and dance to Davido’s song.
