A subscriber named Leilani Dyer started a Change.org petition to stop the streamer from featuring the show.
The petition reads, “As we know Netflix has cancelled some really good shows such as Sense8″ cancelled after 2 seasons, The Society cancelled after 1 season, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina cancelled after 4 seasons and Anne with an E cancelled after season 3.”
The petition further read, “these were just a few examples on some really good Netflix shows that were cancelled. Netflix then decides to make a “reality show” for “the hype house” like we asked for this, NO ONE WANTS THIS!!!!”
So far it has been signed by 13,753 people out of 15,000, which is its target.
For those who are wondering if The Hype House show on Netflix has been cancelled. The answer is no, the show hasn’t been cancelled, at least not yet.
Neither the streamer nor any of the Hype House members have revealed that the show has been cancelled.
Twitter reacts to The Hype House getting a reality show
Social media users on Twitter went into a frenzy when the show was announced.
One user wrote, “Cancel the hype house show rn I’m not playing bro I swear I finna pull up and cancel my subscription.”
Hype House member Nikita Dragun clapped back at angry fans in a now-deleted Instagram story and said, “Everyone had a lot to say about the Netflix show, and that’s fine, but I just feel like, at the end of the day, you can’t get mad at people for winning and succeeding, and if you do, you’re literally just a hater.”
In response to her words another Twitter user said, “She thinks her having a Netflix show like the Hype House is the only way people “win” and “succeed”. Sad.”
