The countdown to the release of Minecraft version 1.18 Cave and Cliffs Part 2 has begun, however fans should be aware of the improvements that have been postponed until 2022.
Bedrock Edition on all platforms is getting a major update that includes a lot of new features. It reshapes the terrain and makes the game more visually appealing than ever before.
As disappointing as it is to learn that some of the planned updates will be delayed until next year, there is still plenty of exciting new content on the way.
What time does Minecraft 1.18 Cave and Cliffs Part 2 come out?
The release date for Minecraft 1.18 Cave and Cliffs Part 2 is November 30th and it should come out at the time of 10:00 PT, 13:00 ET, and 18:00 GMT.
Mojang hasn’t officially announced any hours but the date is concrete and the times are when Part 1 launched back in June. It will be available for the Bedrock Edition on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC for Windows 10 and 11.
Java Edition owners on Windows, Linux, and macOS will also be able to download it, too.
Minecraft Cave and Cliffs Part 2 delays
Some new features for Minecraft update 1.18 Cave and Cliffs Part 2 have been delayed to 2022.
Players will be treated to fresh mountains and better caves on November 30th. Mojang’s website says that the terrian generation has been revamped and that there are higher peaks and more elaborate cave systems with larger ore veins.
In addition to the above, we are also getting candles. Wowee.
As for what’s been pushed back to 2022, this includes goat horns, bundles, and archaeology. We don’t know when these will come out but Mojang assures us that they have not been cancelled.
The Deep Dark biome, Sculk Blocks, and the Warden were also delayed from Cave and Cliffs entirely to join patch 1.19.
1.19 update release date
No release date for 1.19 has been announced but it’s scheduled to arrive sometime in 2022.
Aside from the Warden and the Deep Dark that were initially promised for Cave and Cliffs, the next chapter in Mojang’s epic will also see the arrival of the Allay mob as well as disgusting frogs. And where better to find frogs than in the Mangrove Swamps?
Some of these features come courtesy of Rock Paper Shotgun‘s preview which includes even more.
