Please Come Back: Late Dowen Student Sylvester Oromoni’s Brother Pens Emotional Tribute

Sylvester Oromoni, a former student of Dowen College, has been widely mourned upon his death. Bullying at his high school apparently led to the death of the young boy.

Just days before Sylvester’s 12th birthday, his older brother Great Oromoni penned an impassioned tribute on Facebook.

Sylvester was Great’s only little brother, and he pleaded with him to return in a heartfelt letter.

The feeling of loss Great mentioned that he had bought the late Sylvester the game he had requested for his birthday present, but that he would not be able to give it to him now.

He went on to talk about how he and Sylvester formed a close friendship as siblings and playmates, and how they grew up together.

It’s how he put it:

“My only little brother ❤️. I got you the game you wanted for your birthday, I was gonna send it to Nigeria for you but I can’t anymore.
Just come back please. I don’t think you’ve left, so please just come back. Who’s gonna disturb me now ehn? This one hits me differently cuz we were a team.”

Emotionally, Great revealed that he and Sylvester were inseparable and he misses him greatly. Sylvester’s death has left the grieving feeling that without him, he is nothing.

He wrote:

“We were always together, it was impossible for people to see me without seeing you. This one hits different. I would always dress you up before outings, we’d take showers together, we ate together, everything. It’s your birthday today and I just really miss you my lovely boy. I just want you back, cuz without you there’s no me.”
