During a brawl in a holding cell, a remand prisoner has been accused of biting off a fellow inmate’s testicles.
When the prisoner chewed off the testicles of another inmate, officers at the Tafo Pankrono Divisional Police Command in the Ashanti Region were horrified. The victim was hospitalized in a severe condition.
After a battle between Jafaru Boakye and Awudu Abdulai, it was said that Abdulai bit Boakye’s testicles, leaving him with life-threatening wounds.
Abdulai has already been charged to court.
In other news, Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has urged Nigerians to stop complaining that the country isn’t working.
Mustapha mentioned this over the weekend at a gathering honoring his 65th birthday. The SGF claims that the tongue has the power of life and death, and that whatever people say about their country is exactly what they are getting.
“Nigeria is known for its human and material resources. We are not where we want to be as a nation, but the craft of building nationhood is a gradual process.
“We have had our fair share of crises, but we have overcome those crises and the future is bright.
“This is our country, where everybody has the opportunity to ventilate aspirations. We have to get ourselves out of the mode of thinking that Nigeria is not working for us.
“You see the power of life and death is in the tongue. What you say about your country is what you get.”
