See how 338 new cases of COVID19 was spread in 18 states in Nigeria, Lagos lead with 177

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, May, 17 confirmed 338 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the country.

The NCDC in a tweet disclosed that the 338 new cases were spread across 18 states. A breakdown of cases by state showed that Lagos recorded 177 new cases, Kano 64, Abuja 21, Rivers with 16, Plateau and 14, Oyo 11.

Katsina recorded 9, Jigawa 4, Kaduna 4, Abia 3, Bauchi 3, Borno 3, Gombe 2, Akwa Ibom 2, Delta 2 Ondo 1, Kebbi 1 and Sokoto 1.

A total of 5,959 confirmed COVID-19 cases have now been recorded in 34 states and the Abuja.

The number of discharged patients are 1,594, while fatalities stand at 182.
