Actress Praiz Sam has written a letter to Nollywood asking them to stop portraying Igbo men as ritualists and glorify their hard works in their movies.
Most Nollywood movies portray Igbo men as ritualists and what happened at the burial of Obi Cubana’s mother made some people concluded they have done rituals made Praiz Sam write this letter to Nollywood.
According to Praiz Sam, people are beginning to see it as a norm but then Igbo men are the most hardworking men in Nigeria and that isn’t portrayed in their movies which is very bad because they aren’t ritualists.
Praiz Sam referring to some of the comments made about Obi Cubana and his friends said they were mostly negative as if an Igbo man can not make clean money again and Nollywood has a part to play in that.
Adding that they are ministers too hence they should breach the hard work of these Igbo men in their movies for it to subconsciously get into the mind of people rather than always portraying them as ritualists always in movies.
Praiz Sam then hilariously added that she’s not dating any Igbo man before people drag her for that but then she thinks their hard work deserves clarity and it’s the duty of Nollywood to let people know that side of Igbo men.
