An enraged crowd set fire to a robbery suspect in Delta State’s Warri South Local Government Area.
The event occurred in the early hours of Saturday, August 14, after the suspect was apprehended while attempting to rob a house in the neighborhood, according to reports.
The guy was alleged to have broken into other homes successfully before running out of luck while attempting to break into another.
The burglar was pursued to a location along renowned Okumagba Avenue’s Cinema area, where he was sprayed with fuel and burned to death.
Police officers from the B Division were dispatched to the scene after receiving word of the incident, in order to prevent a breakdown in law and order.

In a related development, fresh bandit raids in Kaduna State’s Chikun Local Government Areas by bandits led to the death of eight farmers in Buruku and Udawa villages.
According to reports, the gunmen assaulted the villages on Saturday morning, August 14, killing several farmers and injuring a large number of others.
ASP Mohammed Jalige, a spokesperson for the State Police Command, verified the event and added that a contingent of police officers has been dispatched to the location to determine the number of people murdered as well as preserve law and order.
“Yes, there were attacks on farmers in Buruku and Udawa communities. But the number of casualties has not been ascertained. As soon as we get the details, we will make it public.” he stated.
