The leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria aka Shiites,Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, in an audio record, has made it clear that he wishes to be taken back to Nigeria.

The cleric with his wife, who was recently flown to India for medical checkup after series of protest, expressed dissatisfaction over the poor state of the Indian Hospital he was admitted in.

According to the audio record, El-Zakzaky was heard saying that their safety was not assured in the hospital.

According to him, the medical facility he was originally referred to from Nigeria was not the one he was taken to.

El-Zakzaky was  who spoke in Hausa was heard saying : “The hospital officials received us well they told us that they parked two ambulance vehicles, deceiving the crowd while taking us out through another way, saying that it was for our own safety. On getting to the hospital, we are placed under a tighter security situation worse than what we have been witnessed in Nigeria. We are currently more confined than when we were in Nigeria, worse than prison setting.

“Contrary to what was agreed before our arrival, that our own personal doctors would supervise this treatment. Now they’ve changed the arrangement. So, we objected receiving treatment from strange doctors without the supervision of our own trusted physicians.

“Godwilling, we will be going back to Nigeria so that we will be able to travel to another place since we have that approval. Since we can’t trust India any longer, there are some other countries like Malaysia, Indonesia and Turkey who have offered to admit us. We will go back home and decide which one to go for,’’ he said.
