An awful certainty: Sarah Stork’s (34) long-lost companion has died. Thomas Knack (age 47) was found dead in a hotel room in Las Vegas on Friday night, according to local authorities.
This was made public by the police on Twitter. The late Thomas Knack was discovered on Mount Charleston’s hiking trail on October 14 by officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
“No evidence of third-party negligence,” says the police report. The investigation into the death’s cause has now been completed.
When Sarah Stork (“Ella Schön” / ZDF, “Unter Uns” / RTL) went missing, she was anxious about her friend Thomas for days before she found out anything. Since the beginning of the week, the TV producer (“The Voice”) has been missing in Nevada and has being sought after by the Las Vegas police.
On Monday, the father of her daughter went on a trekking trip. He was determined to achieve a long-held goal of his and climb Charleston Peak (3,632 meters high). Knack, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found. On Tuesday, he lost his radio signal.
As a result, Stork pleaded with the Instagram community for any information they might have on his whereabouts. “His last GPS signal was at 12:28 pm on October 12th,” she adds in the post. She also provides his most recent GPS coordinates, as well as his intended hiking route and altitude.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released a report of a missing person. “He may be suffering from severe emotional turmoil and require medical intervention.”
Sarah Stork had just returned from a family holiday in Greece with their young daughter when she left for Germany.
