Sad news swept the internet in the early hours of Monday (31st May) morning as rapper, Lil Durk, announced the death of Turn Me Up Josh.

The producer’s death was announced via Twitter.

Who was Turn Me Up Josh?

Joshua Samuel, better known as Turn Me Up Josh, was a multi-platinum producer and engineer from Houston, signed to Winners Circle Entertainment. Although the producer was mostly known for working with Lil Durk, Joshua Samuel also worked with the likes of Def Loaf and DaBaby.

Lil Baby and Durk are expected to release a joint album on 4th June. Josh reportedly has multiple placements on this album, Voice of the Heroes.

At the time of writing, there is a lack of information surrounding Josh’s death and a public statement has not been released – though it has been confirmed via Twitter.
