Tyson Fury has addressed the Palestine-Israel conflict after a now-deleted Instagram Story caused outrage on social media, saying in a post: “I represent and embrace all cultures in this world – always have.”
The Manchester-born world heavyweight champion caused a social media stir after he appeared to wade into the conflict between Israel and Palestine when the now-deleted message ‘Pray for Israel’ appeared on his Instagram Stories.
Tyson has since addressed the post and claimed he didn’t share it because his profile was hacked.

On Wednesday, May 12th, the message ‘Pray for Israel’ appeared on Tyson Fury’s Instagram Stories, which attracted many reactions from his fans and followers.
The WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight champion has now issued an explanation on his profile, followed by a statement in which he clarifies the situation.
Tyson Fury addresses now-deleted Instagram Story
After the Instagram Story was taken down, Tyson uploaded a video in which he claimed his profile was hacked and he didn’t upload the post. The boxer clarified his statement would be taken down after 24 hours.
“Last night, I went on Instagram and found a political post on my story,” Tyson said. “Whoever’s on my story: get the f*** off there, you little b******s. I don’t get involved in any political conflicts or anything like that.
“As we all know, I am a man of the people. I represent all people from around the world – every country, not just one.
“I don’t just select one country. We all know that’s not a real post by the Gypsy King. God bless you all, peace out and God bless all the people who are in conflict at the moment.”
Tyson Fury issues a statement
Alongside the video, the boxer also included a lengthy Statement which read:
“First and foremost I send Love, Strength, Hope and Peace to ALL those people caught in the conflict in the Middle East. I stand with the people. I represent and embrace all cultures in this world – always have. I pray for peaceful resolution.
“As for the backlash, I totally understand the impassioned and visceral reactions to the post. I love you all regardless and needed to clear this up swiftly. I must stress again it was NOT me and my team and I have quickly identified the suspicious log-in on my activity log. We’ve tightened everything up watertight.”
Tyson finished his statement by adding: “I am a man of the people, the people’s champion.”
Boxing fans are eagerly awaiting a world heavyweight unification bout between Tyson and Anthony Joshua, although a date has yet to be set.
