US confirms first coronavirus death

A man living in Washington, Unites States has been reported dead from coronavirus. While several countries have tried to discourage its citizens from traveling a U.S. Surgeon has come out against the use of face masks.

A report by CNN, indicates that the United States of America has recorded its first death from coronavirus.

Jamie Nixon, the state Health Department spokesperson, on Saturday, February 29, confirmed that a man who lives at King County, Washington died.

A statement by Governor Jay Inslee of Washington said: “Our hearts go out to his family and friends. We will continue to work toward a day where no one dies from this virus,”

In another report by Bloomberg and The Telegraph, laboratory tests for the virus were increased by the FDA after three people with infections by unexplained means were found in three states, California, Oregon, and Washington.

This has suggested that the deadly disease is spreading around the west coast as 67 people have tested positive in the US.
