“Hello motherf***ers. I’m f***ing sweating. It’s like a swamp down there – sweaty bollocks” he said before explaining how good he felt to be coming out of lockdown.
“How is everyone doing. It’s great to be here tonight, it’s just great to be out of the house to be honest,” he said.
He then joked: “It’s been a great year for albums, most of all because I haven’t f***ing released one.”
“It’s a total honour to present the award for best album. Let’s hope that this coming year is even bigger and better than ever for British music.”
“And obviously let’s also hope that Scotland win at the Euros,” he added, which gained a huge boo from the crowd.
“I didn’t f***ing write it. I’m just doing a job!” he then said, revealing that he was actually reading from a script card.
