Carl Frampton is officially retiring from boxing after 31 fights, 28 wins and three losses. The father-of-two has now decided that the rest of his life is to be spent with his family, so let’s get to know more about his wife, Christine.
Who is Carl Frampton’s wife?
Professional boxer Carl Frampton, 34, and his wife Christine, 33, have been together since 2011.
The pair both hail from Belfast and got married in 2013. Carl is from Tigers Bay in north Belfast while Christine comes from Poleglass in west Belfast.
Carl is catholic while his wife is protestant.
Christine is a criminology graduate and wanted to have a career as a prison officer. Speaking to Belfast Live she said: “In school, for my work experience, I went to Hydebank jail and loved it so that was always my plan after I’d go to University, but then I had kids so my plans changed“.
Carl and Christine have two children, Carla (born in 2011) and Rossa (born in 2014).
Carl Frampton’s retirement
Car Frampton confirmed his retirement from boxing in April 2021 following defeat in a WBO world title fight against Jamel Herring.
After the fight, Carl said: “I said before I would retire if I lost this fight and that’s exactly what I’m going to do“.
The super-featherweight contest, held in Dubai, was stopped in the sixth round.

Yes, Christine Frampton is on Instagram, however, her account is private. Speaking to The Sun in 2018, Carl said of his wife: “Christine is different from a lot of people in and around this sport in that she hates the limelight“.
