The Royal Family confirmed the thirty guests who will attend Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday, April 17th.
Th funeral will be broadcast live on TV and radio to allow people across the globe to mourn the Duke of Edinburgh.

Who is Prince Donatus?
Prince Donatus is successor of German aristocrat Moritz, Landgrave of Hesse. He is also descendant of Queen Victoria of the UK, and of German Emperor Frederick III.
He and Prince Philip are distant cousins as the Duke’s mother Princess Alice was a Hessian princess by birth, Princess Andrew of Greece and Denmark.
Moreover, the Duke’s two younger sisters, Sophie and Cecilie, both married into the Hesse family.
Prince Donatus serves as director of Foundation of the House of Hesse which showcases the heritage and history of the House of Hesse.

Prince Donatus is married to his wife, Countess Floria Franziska Marie-Luisa Erika von Faber-Castell.
The couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony on April 25th, 2003. Moreover, then they had a religious ceremony on May 17th, 2003.
As for their family life, Prince Donatus and Countess Floria have one daughter and two sons together. They are called Princess Paulina, Hereditary Prince Moritz and Prince August.

Prince Philip’s grandnephew Prince Philipp and Bernhard, Hereditary Prince of Baden, great-nephew of the Duke, are among the other German relatives who will be at the funeral.
All of them arrived in the UK earlier to self-isolate and get tested for Covid-19 in line with the current measures.
