Singer Jae Park from K-pop group Day6 has stepped away from Twitch, and released an apology over it.
Yesterday, March25th, Jae shared an apology note on Twitter, in which he announced he would no longer be streaming on Twitch.
“First of all I’d like to express my sincerest apologies to everyone in regard to the inappropriate comments made during my personal live stream,” he began.
“Before listening to the earnest advice from those around me and my dear fans, I didn’t fully comprehend what the problem was nor the degree of seriousness of the incident.”
He continued: “From now on I will not act impulsively taking into mind the gravity of my words and actions. Moreover, as a member of DAY6, fans and colleagues on top priority. Thus as an act of sincerity I will stop all my personal live streams including Twitch.”

What did Jae from Day6 say on Twitch?
Last week, the singer received backlash after making a joke, which he now dubs “inappropriate”, during a Twitch stream.
In a now-deleted stream while playing game Rust, Jae Park said: “This guy, he is my sugar daddy,” before moving his character in front of another player and imitated a sexual act. “Just look away,” he then said.
Fans’ reactions to his apology
For the most part, fans on Twitter have felt that both the apology and decision to leave Twitch were unnecessary.
“Literally nothing, he made a joke — a GROWN man made a NSFW joke and got hate for it,” wrote one fan in his defence.
“That’s not even bad compared to what other streamers have probably done. That really sucks that he has to quit Twitch bc it was seen as offensive ugh,” wrote another.
Popular streamer Jacksepticeye tweeted: “You’re a good man, Jae.”
While Corpse Husband tweeted a simple black heart to the singer.
