Valheim has just been released in Early Access format and its popularity has risen on Steam. Plenty of people have been enjoying the newest addition to the overcrowded survival genre, but console gamers can only watch while PC users enjoy the game. The game has taken over Steam and Twitch despite only being in Early Access format, and this is fantastic news for everyone involved. As for how long the game will be in Early Access, its Steam page suggests that it will be stuck in this format for at least one year. Its price is £15.49, and this might be when it’s at its cheapest as the developers say its fee might increase despite the lack of definitive plans as of yet.

Valheim is not coming to PS4 and Xbox One.
There are no plans for Valheim to come to PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X, although this could change in the future according to Iron Gates.
Per the game’s official FAQ, the title is only released on Windows and Linux via Steam. They say that a Mac-version will be released if there’s demand, but there are no plans for other systems.
While the above sounds as if it spells the end for the game coming to PS4 and Xbox One, the game’s FAQ does also say that they “won’t rule out console versions in the future”.
