A big fan of Wizkid, perhaps the captain of his fanbase who are collectively known as Wizkid FC, has started a campaign on his own to have a statue erected in the heart of Lagos to honour the musician.
The man identified as Muhammed suggested that the multiple-award winner deserves this recognition now that he’s alive before he joins his ancestors.
Taking to his Twitter platform, the young man argued that a decade ago, the father of three dropped unarguably the most commercially successful album in Nigeria, ‘Superstar’, which happens to be his debut album that ushered him into the mainstream.
He added that 10 years later, Starboy released his fourth studio album, ‘Made in Lagos’ on October 30, 2020, and was a massive hit and for these achievements, he is campaigning for a statue to be erected for Wizkid.
Muhammed tweeted; “10years ago Wizkid had the best album in game, 10 years later he bodied everyone and gave the best album. Make this man a statue in Lagos ASAP!”
In related news, Davido has sent a massive shoutout to Wizkid and Burna Boy despite the seemingly frosty relationship that exists between them.
Admittedly he never mentioned their names, neither was the message directly addressed to them but since the Jowo hitmaker collectively appreciated all entertainers in the world which inevitably includes the aforementioned duo, it’s worth emphasizing it.
He sent a shoutout to entertainers worldwide for going steady in the face of challenges and criticisms.
